Aphrodite is an ancient Greek goddess associated with love, lust, beauty, pleasure, passion, procreation, and as her syncretized Roman goddess counterpart Venus, desire, sex, fertility, prosperity, and victory. 

This stateue is missing the head, right arm, left arm below the elbow, and the legs below the knees. A snake bracelet encircles the left arm, and among the folds of the garment on the right is a gragment of a finger probably belonging to the child Eros.
