The USCG Point Class Cutters were a distinguished fleet of patrol boats introduced in the early 1960s, designed for search and rescue, law enforcement, and coastal defense missions. Typically 83 feet (25 meters) long, these vessels were known for their rugged design, twin diesel engines, and versatility in harsh coastal conditions. Our 3D model, scaled at 1:34 (730 mm or 28.7 inches in length), captures the sleek lines and versatile functionality of these historic vessels. The hull and superstructure are modular, with just 8 hull pieces and 2 superstructure parts, all designed to fit printers with a 220 × 220 × 250 mm build volume. Once assembled, the model can be outfitted with over 180 accessories provided in the STL pack, including a color 3MF file to streamline the process.

The 3D printing and assembly of this model are designed for simplicity without sacrificing detail. Each part includes alignment bosses, so the initial hull and superstructure assembly is straightforward, even for beginners. Once the basic structure is built, the builder can choose from a wide range of accessories, from weapons to deck equipment. Additionally, all original hatches are functional, with a large aft deck hatch and removable bridge for easy interior access. Whether you build it as a detailed display or a full RC project, this model offers a perfect balance of accessibility and complexity.
